Delta Marines FC concludes NLO1 Pre-season preparations unbeaten

Delta Marines Football Club, concluded its Pre-season friendly matches ahead of the commencement of the 2023 Nationwide League One season with a 2 – 1 victory over Megastars FC of Asaba on Sunday 30th April, 2023. The Blue Submarines, as they are fondly called, played a total of seven friendly games, winning three and drawing four, to finish the pre-season unbeaten.

The Blue Submarines started the pre-season preparations with a one all draw against Ndame FC of Kwale on 17th February 2023, followed by a one nil victory over Future Stars FC on 26th March 2023. The second game against Ndame FC on 29th March 2023 ended goalless. On 21st April 2023, Delta Marines FC drew one all against Ihu-Iyase FC, followed by another two all draw with Raiders FC on 24th April 2023. The biggest win of the pre-season came against Alika FC on 27th April 2023,in a game that ended six goals to one, followed by the last game against Megastar FC, which ended two goals to one in favour of Delta Marines FC.

Delta Marines FC will definitely be one of the teams to watch out for in the 2023 Nationwide League One (NLO1) season starting on Wednesday, 3rd May, 2023, at the Kwale Center in Delta State. Delta Marines FC is in Group  E2B alongside Sunsel FC, Sporting FC, De-Sapele Lions, FC Chimooski, Apex Krane FC, Holy Arrows FC, Joseph FC and J. Atete Feeders FC. The winner of the group will go into a one-legged play-off against the winner of Group E2A made up of Rolly FC, Dynamite Force FC, FC Deltra, Junosa United FC, Aftermath FC and J. Atete FC.
